Kanary processes recordings, transcripts, and other user-generated content on your Mac. This content is never sent to Kanary's servers.
When you request a launch notice or opt in to Kanary updates, we use your email address and preferred language to send the notifications you requested. We keep the registration time and consent wording version in Resend for the Token Saver launch notice. Requesting one notification does not subscribe you to other announcements.
We use Resend to store registrations, send notification emails, and manage mailing preferences. Resend processes your email address and subscription preferences for this purpose. You can stop notification emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in an announcement email, or by contacting privacy@dotproduct.ai.
When automatic crash reporting is enabled, Kanary may send minimal, non-identifying technical information to improve reliability.
Crash diagnostics never contain recordings, transcripts, other user-generated content, email addresses, account identifiers, or complete crash reports. Automatic crash reporting can be turned off at any time in General settings.
Crash diagnostics are retained only for as long as needed to improve Kanary's reliability.
Diagnostic records are available only to authorized Kanary administrators for reliability work. We do not sell this data or use it for any other purpose.
